What Paperclip can do with LotsCRM

Once connected, Paperclip can:

The LotsCRM dashboard does the whole job too: contacts, companies, the pipeline, follow-ups in your Today view and team access. Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control.

You need

Connect Paperclip to LotsCRM

  1. Create the LotsCRM connection

In your company’s Tools & Access, create a LotsCRM application and a remote HTTP connection. Use the hosted MCP URL below.

    https://api.lotscrm.com/mcp
  2. Store the key as a secret

Create a key at https://www.lotstech.com/api and save it as a Paperclip company secret. Attach a credential reference to the connection: header Authorization, prefix Bearer followed by a space. Keep the key out of plain connection configuration.

  3. Check the connection and load its tools

Run the connection health check and refresh its tool catalog. Enable the connection, review the discovered tools and approve the actions you want your agent to perform.

  4. Assign access to your agent

Create a tool profile containing the LotsCRM tools you need and bind it to the responsible agent. Ask that agent “List my LotsCRM workspaces” before giving it real work.

What to ask next

If something goes wrong

My agent cannot see LotsCRM tools
Check the connection is enabled, its tool catalog is refreshed, the required tools are allowed in a profile and that profile is bound to your agent.

Paperclip and LotsCRM: questions

How do I connect Paperclip to LotsCRM?

Follow the Paperclip setup above to add https://api.lotscrm.com/mcp. Configure your LotsCRM API key using the credential settings shown. Then ask “List my LotsCRM workspaces”.

Does adding Paperclip’s MCP server also add LotsCRM?

No. The two servers expose different tools. LotsCRM must be connected to the agent runtime or called through its REST API.

Do I need an API key to use LotsCRM with Paperclip?

Yes. Create one at https://www.lotstech.com/api and keep it out of chats, logs and committed files. Where Paperclip offers sign-in, use that instead.

What does LotsCRM cost?

Current plans and prices are on https://lotscrm.com/pricing. Your agent’s own plan or usage fees are separate.

Does LotsCRM send emails or messages?

LotsCRM is the record of your sales work. Your agent drafts and sends messages with the tools you already use, then logs each one in LotsCRM, so every conversation sits on the right contact and deal. Follow-ups you schedule appear in your Today view.

What can my agent do in my workspace?

Your agent acts as you, so it can do exactly what your workspace role allows. Owners can do everything and viewers can only read.

Can my agent delete CRM records?

Your agent archives contacts, companies and deals. Archiving is recoverable and keeps the history, and there is no hard delete through MCP.

Can one agent work across several clients?

Yes. Each workspace is a separate sales book, one per business or client. Your agent lists your workspaces, picks the one you mean and keeps its records apart from the others.

My agent cannot see LotsCRM tools

Check the connection is enabled, its tool catalog is refreshed, the required tools are allowed in a profile and that profile is bound to your agent.
