For a small team that works in ChatGPT or Claude, LotsCRM is the HubSpot alternative to try first: you pay per workspace (one business's sales book) with unlimited teammates, from $5 a workspace a month or $12 a month for 3, and your agent runs the CRM through MCP or REST on every plan. If you want a visual pipeline with email sync, look at Pipedrive; a flexible data model, Attio; relationship selling, folk; a follow-up-first CRM, OnePageCRM; the lowest seat price, Bigin; built-in calling and sequences, Close; one flat plan, Less Annoying CRM; open source you can host yourself, Twenty.
I opened every vendor's own pricing page and MCP or API docs on 13 October 2026, and the links are at the end. Most of them document an official MCP server, so your agent can read and write the CRM without a custom bridge. They differ in what you pay for, which plan unlocks what, and how much of the work the CRM itself does.
Why small teams look beyond HubSpot
HubSpot is a broad platform: sales, marketing, service and content tools on one CRM, with over 2,000 apps in its marketplace and AI connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini. Its free tools cover up to 2 users with no card. If you need that whole suite, it's a strong choice.
The reasons small teams look elsewhere are on HubSpot's own Sales Hub pricing page (checked on 13 October 2026):
- You pay per seat, by tier. Starter starts at $7 a seat a month on annual billing. Professional starts at $90 a seat a month billed annually, or $100 on an annual commitment paid monthly. Enterprise starts at $150 a seat.
- Professional and Enterprise carry a required onboarding fee. The page says the cost shown doesn't include the required, one-time Professional Onboarding fee of $1,500, or $3,500 for Enterprise. A team of five on Professional pays $450 a month billed annually, plus $1,500 up front.
- The best features sit in higher tiers. Sequences, forecasting and conversation intelligence are listed under Professional. On the free tools, HubSpot's MCP docs say the agent can edit the default pipeline but can't create custom pipelines, and tool availability varies by subscription.
None of that is hidden; it's how a suite is priced. It just adds up fast when the job is "keep track of who we talked to and what happens next".

1. LotsCRM: per-workspace pricing, and your agent runs the CRM
LotsCRM is the CRM your AI agent keeps up to date. You tell Claude or ChatGPT who you talked to and what happened, and it writes the contact, logs the call, moves the deal and sets the follow-up. You open the full dashboard (pipeline, Today view, contact detail, import and export) to see and change the same records. Your agent for speed, the dashboard for control.
- Priced per business, not per person. A workspace is one business or one client's sales book. Pay as you go is $5 per workspace a month, charged daily from credits. Plans are Starter at $12 a month for 3 workspaces, Pro $29 for 10 and Business $79 for 30, with yearly billing at two months free. Extra workspaces cost your plan's rate. Contacts, companies, deals, pipelines and team members are unlimited, so adding your fifth teammate costs nothing.
- Your external agent does the work. Add
https://api.lotscrm.com/mcpas a connector in Claude or ChatGPT and sign in with OAuth, no key to paste. Claude Code, Codex and Cursor connect the same way, and a cloud agent without MCP gets the REST API with an API key. The agent starts with a CRM briefing: your role, the pipeline and what needs attention today. Setup for each agent is in the Claude guide and on the setup page. - Archive, not delete. The agent can archive contacts, companies and deals, and archived records can be recovered with their history. There are no hard-delete tools on the MCP server.
- It records and never sends. LotsCRM doesn't send emails, messages or sequences. Your agent drafts and sends with the tools you already use, then logs each message. Opted-out and do-not-contact records are blocked from drafting.
- The agent acts as you. Roles are owner, admin, manager, member and viewer, and the agent can do exactly what your role allows.
- Your data stays reachable. If funding runs out, an unfunded workspace becomes read-only: you can still read and export everything, and nothing is deleted.
What HubSpot does that LotsCRM doesn't: email sync and sequences, a marketplace of integrations, deep reporting, mobile apps and marketing tools. If you rely on those, a suite fits better. There's no one-click HubSpot importer either: you bring contacts in by CSV, or your agent adds prospects in batches of up to 100, deduplicated by email.
Choose LotsCRM if you're a founder or small team that already works in ChatGPT or Claude, you want the agent to keep the pipeline current, and you'd rather pay for businesses than for seats. New accounts get 5,000 free credits, valid 90 days, no card. See pricing.
2. Pipedrive: a visual pipeline, with MCP on every plan
Pipedrive is the pipeline-first sales CRM. Lite is $14 a seat a month billed annually, Growth $39, Premium $59 and Ultimate $79, with a 14-day free trial and no card. Growth adds full email sync with tracking, automations and nurturing sequences; Premium adds lead routing, e-signatures and multi-email tools. Its pricing page lists 500+ integrations.
Pipedrive's MCP server is open to all customers on every plan, with usage subject to token limits by plan and more tokens for purchase. It has setup guides for ChatGPT and Claude, and the agent can search deals, contacts, organizations and leads, create and update deals, contacts and activities, and convert leads, within the permissions the user already has.
Choose Pipedrive if you want a polished visual pipeline with email sync and automations, and you're fine paying per seat.
3. Attio: a flexible data model, with MCP on the Free plan
Attio is the CRM you shape around your own objects. Free covers up to 3 seats, Plus is $35 a user a month billed annually ($44 monthly) for up to 10 seats, and Pro is $79 ($99 monthly) with call intelligence, sequences and advanced reporting. Plans come with credits for its AI features, and you can add more.
Attio's pricing table lists its MCP server on all four plans, including Free. The hosted server at mcp.attio.com/mcp works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others, signs in as your Attio user with OAuth, auto-approves reads and asks for confirmation before writes.
Choose Attio if you want custom objects, synced email and calendar, and enrichment, and you'll use the flexibility.
4. folk: relationship selling with outreach built in
folk is built around people and relationships: contact enrichment, a LinkedIn extension, email, calendar and WhatsApp sync, and AI assistants. Standard is $24 a member a month billed yearly ($30 monthly), Premium $48 ($60 monthly) and Enterprise from $80, with a 2-week trial and no card. Deals and custom objects, email sequences, workspace roles, dashboards and the REST API are on Premium.
folk's hosted MCP server at mcp.folk.app/mcp is checked on all three plans. Your AI tool signs in with OAuth and gets the same access your folk account has, so it can search contacts, update records, notes and custom fields, and move deals through your pipeline.
Choose folk if your sales run on relationships and you want enrichment and outreach inside the CRM.
5. OnePageCRM: a follow-up-first CRM your AI can use
OnePageCRM puts a Next Action on every contact and lists them in an Action Stream, so the CRM is organised around what to do next. Professional is $9.95 a user a month billed annually, Business $19.95 and Max $29.95, with a 21-day trial and no card. Every plan includes unlimited contacts, deals, fields and tags, full two-way email sync and native mobile apps; Max adds email sequences and unlimited pipelines.
Its pricing table lists Model Context Protocol (MCP) and API access on every plan, and its AI page says it works on the free trial too. OnePageCRM is in the ChatGPT and Claude connector directories, and you choose read-only or read and update access when you connect.
Choose OnePageCRM if you want a simple, follow-up-driven CRM with email sync, priced per user.
6. Bigin by Zoho: the lowest seat price
Bigin is Zoho's CRM for small businesses. Free is for a single user with one pipeline and 500 records. Express is $7 a user a month billed yearly ($9 monthly) with 3 team pipelines, 50,000 records, email and WhatsApp integration and 30 automations, and Premier is $12 ($15 monthly). Its pricing page offers a 15-day trial.
Bigin lists MCP support on every edition, starting with Free, so you can connect your CRM data to AI tools through Zoho MCP, which works with Claude, GPT and other MCP clients.
Choose Bigin if seat price matters most and you want pipelines, email, WhatsApp and phone in one place.
7. Close: calling, SMS and sequences in the CRM
Close is a CRM built for outbound: email, calls, SMS and a shared inbox in one place, plus Chloe, its AI sales agent. Billed annually, Solo is $9 a user a month (one user, up to 10,000 leads), Essentials $35, Growth $99 and Scale $139; monthly billing is $19, $49, $109 and $149. Growth adds workflows, the power dialer and bulk email. Each plan includes AI credits.
Close's MCP server at mcp.close.com/mcp works with ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Cursor, with three scopes you pick at connection: read, safe write, and destructive write that can also delete data. Its pricing table lists API access on every plan.
Choose Close if your team lives on the phone and in sequences and wants all of it inside the CRM.
8. Less Annoying CRM: one flat plan
Less Annoying CRM has one price: $15 a user a month, plus applicable tax, with no tiers and everything included. That covers unlimited contacts and companies (it suggests staying below about 50,000), unlimited pipelines and custom fields, task management, email logging, user permissions and 25GB of storage per user. The trial is 30 days with no card, and support by email and phone is free.
It publishes API documentation, linked from its pricing page.
Choose Less Annoying CRM if you want one predictable per-user price, every feature included and free phone support.
9. Twenty: open source, cloud or self-hosted
Twenty is an open-source CRM. On Twenty Cloud, Pro is $9 a user a month billed yearly and Organization is $19, adding row-level permissions, SSO and a custom domain, with a 30-day trial and no card. You can self-host the open-source core for free on your own infrastructure; you then run, update and pay for the servers, and Organization features need a paid license.
Twenty's pricing table lists the MCP server, REST and GraphQL APIs and webhooks on every cloud plan. The MCP endpoint is your workspace URL plus /mcp, on cloud or self-hosted, with OAuth or an API key, for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT.
Choose Twenty if you want to own the code and the data, and you have someone to run it.

Common questions
What is a good HubSpot alternative for a small business?

For a visual pipeline, Pipedrive; a flexible data model, Attio; relationship selling, folk; follow-ups first, OnePageCRM; the lowest seat price, Bigin; calling and sequences, Close; one flat plan, Less Annoying CRM; open source, Twenty.
Is there a free HubSpot alternative?

Does HubSpot charge an onboarding fee?
Yes, on its higher tiers. HubSpot's Sales Hub pricing page says Professional prices don't include a required, one-time onboarding fee of $1,500, and Enterprise's is $3,500 (checked on 13 October 2026).
Which HubSpot alternatives work with ChatGPT and Claude?
LotsCRM, Pipedrive, Attio, folk, OnePageCRM, Close and Twenty each document an official MCP server that works with ChatGPT and Claude, and Bigin supports MCP through Zoho MCP. HubSpot itself also offers connectors for Claude and ChatGPT on its MCP server.
Which HubSpot alternative doesn't charge per seat?
LotsCRM charges per workspace, one per business or client, and team members are unlimited. The other CRMs here price per seat, user or member.
Can I move my HubSpot contacts to LotsCRM?
Yes, by CSV import, or by having your agent add them in batches of up to 100, deduplicated by email so a retry never creates duplicates. There's no one-click HubSpot importer.
