If you sell for a small business and want a CRM that is easy to keep up to date without paying per user, LotsCRM is the Zoho CRM alternative to try first: $5 a workspace a month, with unlimited teammates, contacts and deals, a CSV import of up to 5,000 contacts, and ChatGPT or Claude can update it for you. If you want something different from the CRM itself, Pipedrive is built around the pipeline, HubSpot has a free start inside a wider suite, and Attio, Twenty, folk and Capsule each fit a different way of working.

Every fact about Zoho and the other CRMs below comes from each vendor's own pages, checked on 2 November 2026 (USD, list prices, links at the end). In LotsCRM a "workspace" is one business's sales book.

## Why small teams look beyond Zoho CRM

Zoho CRM is a broad, capable product, and its strengths are real: a free edition, a long feature list, a wider Zoho suite around it, and 28 languages. The reasons small teams compare it with other CRMs are on Zoho's own pricing page:

- **You pay per user.** Standard is $14, Professional is $23 and Enterprise is $40 per user per month (the page loads with the Annually toggle selected). Five people on Professional is $115 a month at those list prices.
- **The features you add are gated by edition.** Multiple pipelines, email integration and custom modules start at Standard. AI agents and process management start at Professional. Sandbox and field-level encryption start at Enterprise.
- **There is a lot to configure.** Zoho describes Enterprise as "running a mature sales org". If you are two people with a pipeline and a list of follow-ups, you are paying for and learning a lot you may not use.

## 1. LotsCRM: one price per business

LotsCRM is the CRM that's easy to keep up to date. You tell ChatGPT or Claude who you talked to, and it logs the call, moves the deal and sets the next follow-up. Or you do the same in the dashboard, which has the pipeline, contacts, companies and follow-ups. Either way does the whole job.

What you pay for is the workspace, not the person:

- **$5 a workspace a month with no plan**, charged from your balance. Plans start at $12 a month for 3 workspaces, $29 for 10 and $79 for 30.
- **Teammates, contacts, companies, deals and pipelines are unlimited.** A team of five pays for one business, not five seats.
- **Import up to 5,000 contacts at a time** from a CSV, matched on email so a repeat import updates people instead of duplicating them.
- **ChatGPT or Claude can update it.** Connect with `https://api.lotscrm.com/mcp` and sign in with your Lots account, no key needed. The agent works with your workspace role, so it can only do what that role allows.

LotsCRM never sends messages or reminders itself. You send your emails and messages from the tools you already use, and the follow-ups and notes live on the contact and the deal. If you need email sequences or a dialer inside the CRM, one of the tools below is the better fit, and I list them for that reason.

Read the details in [LotsCRM pricing explained](https://lotscrm.com/blog/lotscrm-pricing-explained) or see [lotscrm.com](https://lotscrm.com).

## 2. Pipedrive: pipeline first

Pipedrive is built around the sales pipeline. Lite is $14, Growth $39, Premium $59 and Ultimate $79 per seat per month billed annually. Growth adds full email sync with tracking and automations with email sequences. Paid plans start with a 14-day trial, no card required. Pipedrive is a good match if your sales process is a pipeline you want to see and drag, and your team will use the email sync. It is billed per seat.

## 3. HubSpot: a free start inside a suite

HubSpot's free CRM is for up to 2 users with no time limit, and its pricing page lists a Starter tier at $7 a seat a month with annual payment ($10 month to month) for new customers, against a listed regular price of $20. It fits when you expect to add marketing and service tools later and want one vendor. Beyond the free tier, plans are per seat.

## 4. Attio: a flexible data model

Attio lets you structure your own objects and fields. Free covers up to 3 seats. Plus is $35 a seat a month billed annually ($44 monthly) with up to 10 seats, and Pro is $79 ($99 monthly) with unlimited seats. AI and workflow features run on credits that differ by plan, and its comparison table lists an MCP server. It suits a team that wants to design its own data model and will keep it tidy. For the full breakdown read [Attio alternatives](https://lotscrm.com/blog/attio-alternatives).

## 5. Twenty: open source

Twenty is an open source CRM. Its pricing page says self-hosting the open source core is free. Cloud plans are Pro at $9 a user a month and Organization at $39 a user a month, both billed yearly, and every cloud workspace ships with a native MCP server. AI use is metered by plan: about 100 AI tasks a week on Pro and about 500 on Organization. It fits a team that likes owning its stack.

## 6. folk: relationship selling

folk is built around relationships, with enrichment and outreach features. Standard is $24 a member a month billed annually ($30 monthly), Premium is $48 ($60 monthly), and MCP is listed on all three plans. Its pricing page describes a two-week trial. It fits if your selling is mostly warm introductions and you want enrichment and messaging in the same tool.

## 7. Capsule: simple, with a free plan

Capsule's free plan covers up to 2 users, 250 contacts, 1 sales pipeline and 5 custom fields. Paid plans start with Starter, billed per user per month (annual or monthly), and Growth adds workflow automations, multiple sales pipelines and reporting dashboards. Paid plans have a 14-day trial with no card. It fits a very small team that wants a plain contact and pipeline tool.

## If you run an agency

If you manage sales for several clients, the paid unit in LotsCRM is the workspace, so one workspace per client keeps each client's contacts, deals and follow-ups separate, and client staff can be invited as viewers. Teammates are unlimited, so adding your own team does not add to the bill. Plans cover 3, 10 or 30 workspaces. See [the best CRMs for agencies](https://lotscrm.com/blog/best-crms-for-agencies) for how the options compare when each client needs its own book.

## If you are a freelancer or a consultant

Per-seat prices matter most when you are one person or two. For a one-person practice, see [the best CRMs for freelancers](https://lotscrm.com/blog/best-crms-for-freelancers). If you are building a SaaS and selling to your first customers, see [the best CRMs for SaaS startups](https://lotscrm.com/blog/best-crms-for-saas-startups).

## How to move from Zoho CRM to LotsCRM

1. Export your contacts from Zoho CRM as a CSV file. Zoho's free edition allows data export up to 10 times.
2. In LotsCRM, open Contacts, choose More, then Import from CSV.
3. Import up to 5,000 people at a time. Email is how LotsCRM matches people, so give every contact an email where you can.
4. Create your open deals, or give the list to ChatGPT or Claude and ask it to create them through the LotsCRM connector.
5. Invite your teammates. There is no per-seat charge.
