The main difference between LotsCRM and Pipedrive is what you pay for. LotsCRM charges per business: $5 a workspace a month, with unlimited teammates. Pipedrive charges per seat: from $14 a seat a month billed annually, or $24 billed monthly. Both give you a sales pipeline and an official MCP server, so Claude or ChatGPT can work the CRM for you.

If you're a founder, a consultant or a small team that wants every lead and follow-up in one place, kept current by ChatGPT, Claude or Claude Code, LotsCRM is the better fit, and the gap grows with every person and every client you add. If you want the CRM itself to sync your inbox, send email sequences and build forecast reports, look at Pipedrive.

Everything about Pipedrive below comes from its own pricing page, MCP page and help centre, checked on 15 October 2026 (US prices, before tax), with links at the end. In LotsCRM a "workspace" is one business's sales book, or one client's.

## Where LotsCRM is the better choice

### You pay for businesses, not people

Pipedrive bills every user on every plan. LotsCRM bills the workspace, and contacts, companies, deals, pipelines and team members inside it are unlimited.

Here is what one business costs per month as the team grows, at list prices on 15 October 2026:

| People in the CRM | LotsCRM (one workspace, pay as you go) | Pipedrive Lite (billed annually) | Pipedrive Growth (billed annually) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $5 | $14 | $39 |
| 2 | $5 | $28 | $78 |
| 5 | $5 | $70 | $195 |
| 10 | $5 | $140 | $390 |

On monthly billing, Pipedrive's Lite seat is $24 and Growth is $49. Growth also syncs your inbox, sends sequences and adds forecast reports, which LotsCRM doesn't do (LotsCRM gives you a weighted forecast from each stage's win probability), so this is a comparison of the pricing model, not of identical scope. If your team is mostly people who need to see and update the pipeline, the seat count is where the two models separate.

If you run more than one business, LotsCRM Starter is $12 a month for 3 workspaces ($120 a year), Pro is $29 for 10 and Business is $79 for 30, with the same unlimited team on each. Pro and Business also include LotsNotes Pro, the place your agents read your business context from. The full breakdown is in [LotsCRM pricing explained](https://lotscrm.com/blog/lotscrm-pricing-explained).

### One sales book per business or client

Consultants and small agencies rarely sell for one company. In LotsCRM each client gets its own workspace: separate contacts, pipelines, deals, activity and members, with nothing shared between them. Invite a client's staff as viewers so they see their own pipeline without editing it, and it costs nothing extra because teammates are free. The setup is on the [LotsCRM for agencies](https://lotscrm.com/for/agencies) page.

Your agent keeps the same boundary. It starts each session with `list_workspaces`, works only in the one you name, and never carries records from one client to another.

### Built for your agent to run, with you in control

Pipedrive's MCP server lets ChatGPT and Claude search, create and update deals, contacts and activities, so agent access alone isn't the difference. What I built LotsCRM around is the agent doing the record-keeping every day without making a mess:

- **It reads before it writes.** `get_crm_briefing` returns your role, the pipeline, today's priorities and your business context before the agent touches anything.
- **Imports don't duplicate.** `bulk_upsert_prospects` takes 1 to 100 rows, deduplicates by email and uses an idempotency key, so a retried import never creates twins.
- **Deals don't get overwritten.** `update_deal` and `move_deal` carry the deal's version; if someone changed it in the meantime, the agent reads again instead of overwriting. A lost deal needs a reason.
- **Fields merge.** Custom fields the agent learns merge into the record instead of replacing what's already there.
- **Tags stay tidy.** The agent can add or remove a single tag on a contact without touching the rest, and contacts imported in bulk can carry tags such as a campaign or channel.
- **Nothing is hard-deleted.** Archive tools are recoverable and keep the history.

Every change shows up in the dashboard: contacts, the pipeline and the Today view. The agent works within your workspace role, from owner down to viewer. The same contract is open over REST, and the [setup page](https://lotscrm.com/mcp) covers Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. If you work in Claude, start with the [Claude CRM integration guide](https://lotscrm.com/blog/claude-crm-integration).

### Your agent drafts, you send

LotsCRM is the record, not the sender. When you want a follow-up, `prepare_follow_up` drafts it from the deal history and your business facts, and refuses to draft for opted-out or do-not-contact records. You send it with the email or chat tool you already use, and the agent logs it with `record_activity`. Nothing leaves your account by itself, which is the point for founders who sell on relationships.

### Your data stays readable

If a workspace isn't funded, it turns read-only: you can still read and export everything, and nothing is deleted. Pay again and writes come back.

## What Pipedrive offers

Pipedrive is a mature, pipeline-first sales CRM, and its strengths are real:

- **A visual pipeline that sales teams like.** Leads, deals, contacts and calendar in one place on every plan, with AI report creation from a text prompt.
- **Email inside the CRM.** Growth adds full Gmail and Outlook sync, bulk email with open and click tracking, and a meeting scheduler. Premium adds shared team inboxes and AI email writing.
- **Automations and sequences.** Growth automates repetitive tasks and runs sequences of personalised emails and follow-ups.
- **Forecasting.** Growth adds forecast reports and products billed as subscriptions or instalments.
- **Lead tools.** Premium includes LeadBooster for capturing and routing leads, custom lead scoring, company enrichment and contracts with e-signatures.
- **Meeting intelligence.** Pipedrive Nova gives a brief before a meeting, a call transcript and CRM updates to approve afterwards.
- **A large app marketplace.** 500+ integrations, plus add-ons for projects, email campaigns, web visitors and documents.
- **Admin depth.** Ultimate adds security rules and alerts, IP and time-based access limits, a sandbox account and extended phone support.
- **An official MCP server.** It connects through OAuth at `https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp`, follows each user's permissions and records the agent's actions in the change log. It's on every plan, with token limits by plan.

## Which one should you choose?

Choose LotsCRM if:

- You're a founder, consultant or small team and you want to pay for businesses, not seats.
- You run sales for more than one business or client and want each one in its own workspace.
- You work in ChatGPT, Claude or Claude Code and want the agent to keep the CRM current while you review it in the dashboard.
- You send email from your own tools and want the CRM to record it, not send it.

Choose Pipedrive if:

- You want email sync, tracking and sequences inside the CRM.
- You need forecast reports, lead capture and routing, or e-signatures.
- Your stack depends on apps from a 500+ integration marketplace.
- You have a sales team that lives in the CRM all day and per-seat pricing fits your budget.

## Move from Pipedrive with your agent

Connect both MCP servers in the same agent and let it carry your pipeline across. LotsCRM's server is `https://api.lotscrm.com/mcp`, and you sign in with your Lots account, no key needed. Then give it this:

> Read https://lotscrm.com/skill.md. In my LotsCRM workspace "Acme", create a pipeline with the same stages as my main Pipedrive pipeline. Read my open Pipedrive deals and their contacts, add the people with bulk_upsert_prospects (source: pipedrive), create a deal for each open deal in the matching stage, and log the last activity on each one with record_activity. Show me the list and wait for my yes before you write anything.

That uses `create_pipeline`, `bulk_upsert_prospects`, `create_deal` and `record_activity`, and the import is safe to retry. If you'd rather move a spreadsheet, LotsCRM imports contacts from CSV in the dashboard too. New accounts start with 5,000 free credits, valid 90 days, no card, which covers one workspace for about a month. ## Common questions

### Is LotsCRM a good Pipedrive alternative for a small business?

Yes, if your small business wants a pipeline, contacts, follow-ups and an AI agent that keeps them current, priced per business instead of per seat. LotsCRM is $5 a workspace a month with unlimited teammates. It doesn't sync your inbox, send email sequences or build forecast reports the way Pipedrive's Growth plan does. It does show a weighted forecast from each stage's win probability.

### How much does Pipedrive cost per seat?

On 15 October 2026 Pipedrive's US pricing page listed Lite at $14, Growth at $39, Premium at $59 and Ultimate at $79 a seat a month billed annually, or $24, $49, $79 and $99 billed monthly. Prices exclude VAT, and add-ons such as LeadBooster and Campaigns cost extra.

### Does Pipedrive have an MCP server?

Yes. Pipedrive's official MCP server is on every plan, connects through OAuth at https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp and has setup guides for ChatGPT and Claude. Usage is subject to token limits based on your plan, and you can buy extra tokens.

### Does LotsCRM send emails or sync my inbox like Pipedrive?

No. LotsCRM records your sales work and never sends emails or messages. Your agent drafts follow-ups with prepare_follow_up, you send them with the tools you already use, and the agent logs each one with record_activity.

### How much does LotsCRM cost for a team of five?

$5 a month for one business on pay as you go, because teammates are unlimited. Three businesses cost $12 a month on Starter, ten cost $29 on Pro. New accounts get 5,000 free credits, valid 90 days, no card.

### Can my AI agent move my deals from Pipedrive to LotsCRM?

Yes. Connect both MCP servers in the same agent, ask it to read your open Pipedrive deals and contacts, and it can recreate them in LotsCRM with bulk_upsert_prospects, create_pipeline, create_deal and record_activity. Ask it to show you the list before it writes.
